Markus Molitor, known as 'The Lord of the 1,000 Rieslings,' crafts exceptional Riesling Spätlese from steep slopes beside his winery. His Wehlener Klostergarten vineyard, facing south near Zeltingen, is renowned for its light, iron-rich slate soil that gives the wine a mineral edge and longevity. The grapes undergo gentle crushing, maceration, and natural yeast fermentation, followed by lees aging in stainless steel to enhance aroma and balance. The result is a sparkling light yellow wine with green hues, bursting with yellow and exotic fruits, slate notes, and a fine spice.
